On Wednesday, we went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. Tim and Julia told us about it a couple of years ago and Leah has been excited to see it ever since, so we had to check it out while we were in Utah. We went with Julia, Simone and baby Anjuli. The kids had a great time!
This blog is about things we love and enjoy, our happy times, and our day to day struggles. Overall, life is great!

Wednesday, May 7th: Our Stay at Tim and Julia's Home and Our Trip to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point
We stayed at Tim and Julia's house Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night and had a great time!

Leah and Mason loved playing with their cousins and couldn't keep their hands off Anjuli. This is Leah and Anjuli in the car on the way to the museum.

Tuesday, May 6: Trip to Provo to Visit Uncle Carson
We left our hotel Tuesday afternoon and headed off to Provo to visit Uncle Carson at BYU. On the way, we stopped by Costco to get some food and sunblock (I have never been more excited to see a Costco! I told Joe that if he moves us away, we have to move close to one) and we also stopped by the Distribution Center to buy Leah her own scriptures. She was so excited to finally get them. She earned them by memorizing all 13 Articles of Faith. Here are some pictures from Tuesday:
We told Carson that we wanted to go on a hike because it was such a beautiful day, so he took us on a little trail that led to the BYU campus. He wanted to show us around the building where he takes his classes.

Here we are, still hiking around campus. It was such a nice day and the kids were so excited to see Uncle.

Here is Carson at his desk. Everyone in there is really smart and some are kind of nerdy. Whatever they do in there is way over my head! (Cars is working on his Masters Degree in Computer Science.)
Here is Mason in the hall getting a drink. He is never satisfied unless he completely soaks his shirt.

Joe took off to get info at the Marriot School of Business Building while we walked back to Uncle Carson's apartment. (Mason has no pants because he had an accident.)

Monday, May 5th-Fun in Salt Lake City at the Wheeler Historic Farm and Temple Square
The weather was beautiful yesterday and should be that way for the rest of our stay. We are all a little sun kisses.
We started the day by going to the grocery store, then we went back to our hotel and had lunch and then headed of to The Historic Wheeler Farm. The kids had a great time looking at the animals and we even went on a tractor ride. We only had trouble finding the farm. The street directions are so confusing!
Here are pictures from the farm:

The kids loved the farm. Mason was a bit confused about where he can and can't go potty through. On our drive to Idaho/Utah, we just stopped on the side of the road when he needed to go potty and let him 'water the grass'. At the farm, Mason said, "Mom, I have to go potty." I turned around to look for and ask Joe where the potty was and when I turned around, Mason had his pants around his ankles and was peeing in front of a lot of people. He said (really loud), "Mom, I'm going potty!". I was so embarrassed and of course, Joe was no where in sight.
After we visited the farm, we were all pretty tired and we went back to the hotel and Mom and Mason took a nap.
After dinner, we walked to temple square and looked at a few things. Here are some pictures from our visit:

Here we are on the roof of the Conference Center. The give tours now, which was pretty interesting. Our tour guide was Gil and he was a really nice grandpa.
We had a really fun day and we were all so tired when we finally got home. On to more fun tomorrow!

Sunday, May 4th-Left Rexburg and Drove to Salt Lake City
We went to church with Brent and Brenda in the morning, came home and had a yummy lunch and then packed up the car and headed off to Salt Lake City. I took this picture of Joe and Brent before we left. These superhero tattoos are from Brent's lunch meat. Joe got the Iron Man and Brent got the Iron Monger (Good always defeats evil as you can see by the size of the arms :-)
We stopped by Pocatello to see the house where Joe's dad grew up. No one was home, so we just took a few pictures. I think Joe really wanted to see the inside because he hadn't been there since he was young.

We finally got to our hotel in Salt Lake City around 7pm and then we took the restless kids swimming. The only thing I forgot was my swimsuit, but Dad is more fun anyways:)

We all slept well!
